Portrait Commissions Please contact Julie Satinover if you would like to commission a portrait. Arrangements will be made for a sitting at the artist's studio in Weston, Connecticut. Julie will typically spend several hours taking photographs and will work mostly from them, with opportunities for the client to have input at key points along the way. The whole process usually takes between one and two months for painting, and then a month for drying before the painting may be shipped. The portraits on this site, while not for sale, are priced to illustrate the relationship between size/complexity of the portrait and its price. Prices vary with the size of the canvas and intricacy of background, clothing or other elements -- e.g., Ms. JEA is $2,500 for just head and shoulders with a plain background, Miss SKS is $7,500 for 3/4 figure with plain background, Dr. JBS is $10,000 for 3/4 figure with complex background, etc.
